Confidence in the real estate industry is soaring, with up to 89% of investors expecting transaction volumes to rise in 2022, according to JLL’s Investor sentiment barometer 2022.

The sense of optimism, along with the strong depth of capital, will likely fuel the competition for assets this year. Three in five investors view the competition as their single greatest challenge to deploying capital, according to JLL.

In the report, investors also weigh in on how they are recalibrating their investment strategies to mitigate risk and drive returns, including the markets and asset classes they are focusing on. Here are some of the key highlights:
